Heide’s website bridges the gap between physical and virtual experiences, showcasing the unique blend of art, architecture, and landscape. The site’s design is marked by its restrained elegance and functionality, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the content rather than the interface.
Beginning with a redesign of the site’s structure, we worked on usability and a clear presentation of Heide’s distinct attributes. The result is a user experience that blends effortless navigation with the museum’s compelling narrative, where key information is easily accessible, the business needs to grow ticket sales, donations, and memberships are handled gracefully, and each interaction is engaging and fluid.
Echoing the museum's printed materials, we introduced an off-centred grid and subtle typographic elements, connecting digital and physical. We also created flexibility in exhibition page updating, so hero images and background colours adapt dynamically, and content is always presented in its full glory.
By focusing on clarity and simplicity, highlighting the beauty within Heide’s physical space, we’ve created a digital space that invites visitors to explore and experience Heide’s offerings with the same appreciation as they would in person.
