Over five hectic days, students design, sketch, decide, prototype, test (and break) their ideas, gaining invaluable skills in empathy and collaboration along the way. ‘Breaking it’ can be confronting, challenging conventional notions of success and failure.
We named the program "Make It, Break It" to help demystify the process, move the focus away from the final outcome, and emphasise the importance of "failing early."
The visual approach reflects the dynamic and evolving nature of the design thinking process at the heart of the program. The brand’s overall look draws on a typographic concept in which something solid swiftly transforms into a deconstructed form, representative of how experimentation and embracing setbacks can work together.
The website was designed to be intentionally straightforward, and we created the supporting collateral used throughout the event with the same boldness as the website: a cohesive and engaging experience from start to finish.
