Our approach hinged on a simple belief: clarity fosters trust. The identity embodies UPowr’s inherent straightforwardness, a quality we were determined to enhance, magnify, and express with clarity. The new visual language, dominated by a striking black-and-white palette and the universally recognisable lightning bolt, signals energy with unmistakable simplicity.
The brand work for UPowr was meticulously created with a customer-centric approach, which is evident in its name—the ‘U’ emphasises the priority given to the customer.
We designed a visual language that includes primary colours, simple icons, basic compositions and a simple and impactful logomark system. We explored campaign executions that focused on empowering customers, demonstrated through the use of Saskia Wilson's photography, which brings warmth and honesty to the brand through its portrayal of genuine moments that reflect the reality of everyday life.
We used copywriting techniques to elevate branded communications, giving UPowr organised permission to have fun with copy and wordplay and the ability to distil complex ideas into simple steps—a direct nod to their straightforward positioning.
